Linked and Liked

One quiet day at the store, I decided to open Google page and typed in ‘Shoelution’ on the search bar. I wonder how many people know about us, how many remember us, or how spread out our name is online.

I was quite unsure what to find, or if there’s any. The company is still young, only two years in the market. So, if to be compared to others we know there’s still a lot of work to do. We believe we are just at the beginning of the race. Although, we are confident that we’ll get to the final winning line since we are equipped with great items, up to date designs, and budget friendly deals…really! We offer products that are perfect especially for those who cannot, would not, or does not spend a fortune to keep up at fashion trends.

Anyway, I am really happy to discover our shoes featured on different blogs, tweets, and posts. We are excited looking at our very own pairs being modelled by people who know fashion, and know how to work clothes, accessories, and shoes right!

To everyone who loves and patronizes our products, a lot of T H A N K Y O U! to all of you. Here are some posts I bumped into online… :)

and from another blogger...

..... I believe there are other posts online. I hope I can get hold of them all so Shoelution can thank them for their support. :D

Season's Beauty

With Christmas just around the corner, it's no surprise all of us are getting ready or already very busy to have our own home Christmas themes --- from simple to glamorous decorations, cozy ambiances, and everything or anything that will represent Christmas is hung, stuck, placed, or pinned everywhere.

Here are some photos of Philippine's traditional decors:

Almost every home boasts a family Christmas Tree. Christmas trees vary according to the chosen theme, favorite color, favorite characters, and endless variation of styles and designs.

A Belen or Nativity is part of Filipino traditional Christmas decorations. Creativity and uniqueness make Belens one of the most sought after attractions both of locals and tourists in the Philippines.

Parols are Filipino trademark decors. The star represents the light which guided the three kings to the Nativity.

Not only houses get to have these beautiful decorations, almost all establishments also don't get behind showing off their Christmas embelishment.

I hear you, Christmas!

In the Philippines, 'BER' months, which start in September, signal the start of Christmas Season. Although, most of us really focus on it after the Halloween or after All Saint's Day.

Then as you stroll in malls, in shops, when you dine in at restaurants or even in fast food chains, Christmas songs fill the air and almost in amusement, we exclaim "Pasko nanaman"!

Traditional Christmas songs play tirelessly. We are all familiar with:

All I Want for Christmas is You
The Christmas Song
Santa Baby
A Perfect Christmas
Christmas in our Hearts
White Christmas
Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree
Santa Claus is Coming to Town
Jingle Bell Rock
I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus
White Christmas
Feliz Navidad.....etc.

Then we also have various versions that suit each person's preference in music, such as Rock, Bossa, Pop, Alternative, etc. Like these songs:

Last Christmas (Jimmy Eat World)
Christmas (Baby please come home) (Jon Bon Jovi)
Jingle Bell Rock (The Ventures)
All I Want for Christmas is You (Sitti)
Santa Baby (Sitti)
Winter Wonderland (Sitti)
Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas (Sitti)
Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer (Jack Johnson)
Silver Bells (The Bright Eyes)
Santa Claus (Bob Dylan)

.....and the list goes on.

Of course, we have new songs too. I guess one of the most played and everyone's latest favorite is local TV network ABS-CBN's Christmas station ID, "Lumiliwanag ang Mundo sa Kwento ng Pasko". A lot of us get what we call LSS (last song syndrome) when we hear it. It's not really a surprise because this song gives us the feel of a Paskong Filipino. Even Filipinos abroad feel nostalgic when this song is played. Here's the video, and I hope you also like its message:
